We are located in the heart of the market town of Poulton le Fylde in Lancashire and specialise in crown and bridgework.
After working together as apprentices at a local commercial laboratory and qualifying from Manchester University with City and Guilds certificates in Dental Technology and further qualifications in Advanced Crown and Bridgework, Duncan and Jerry decided to set out on their own and D J Ceramics was established in 1986.
‘We are a small dedicated team of GDC registered technicians whose aim is to provide a high quality, friendly and efficient laboratory service where every client and every case is treated individually. We pride ourselves on the quality of our work and our attention to detail. All restorations leaving the laboratory have been produced by either Duncan or Jerry, with Darren heading up the metalwork and substructure side of the process ................ meaning each case is given the utmost care and attention with excellent, aesthetic and consistent results for both dentist and patient.’

For your NHS, Denplan/Insurance or Private patients, we can produce anything from the simplest composite inlay to the traditional porcelain bonded crown or bridge, multiple unit diagnostic wax ups and on to the latest CAD CAM, metal free, high strength emax and zirconia restorations..........

From the initial receipt of the patient’s impressions and prescription, through to the finished case, we can give the surgery an update on progress when required and Duncan or Jerry are always available by phone or e-mail for general enquiries or to discuss specific cases, working closely with clients when needed.

We offer a daily collection and delivery service throughout Lancashire and a free First Class postal service using the Royal Mail, with prepaid address labels and packaging provided, for surgeries nationwide. For traceability, all postal work is returned by the Royal Mail ‘First Class Signed For’ service, or national courier, with no extra charge to the surgery.
We are audited members of the Dental Appliance Manufacturers Audit Scheme (DAMAS), which means you can be assured we meet the requirements of the Care Quality Commission, the Medical Devices Directive and the Medical Devices Regulations.

We are registered with the Medicines & Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).
We have also joined the DLA British Bite Mark campaign promoting UK produced restorations, fully traceable and compliant with UK regulations, to both dentists and patients. All materials used by us are CE marked and therefore approved by the Department of Health and other relevant bodies.
